John and Jennifer Garrick
September 15, 2021
Meet John and Jennifer.
These two are so dear to me. John has been my Pastor since I was fifteen. Jennifer taught me how to be a leader and gave me the space to lead worship - a gift I am so grateful for. They were my "parents" when we traveled to Uganda, and we have done so much life together. If I had tough questions I knew I was welcome to show up at their door, sit on the porch and work them out. And I did. Their home is literally an open door. They love and serve and do life with each of us, individually, corporately, together... we are a family. Our home church is literally a family. It is my honor to show you their hearts as they step into a new season, affectionately called "A New Day" in their ministry, Eternal Impact.
John and Jen are dedicated to living out their faith in all aspects of their life. A catch phrase I've gotten used to (but the impact isn't lost) is, "Living out the Gospel where we live, work and play." Guess what? They actually do that. Really, really well. They walk their talk, they go out into the community to love and serve, they bring those into their home the Spirit leads them to minister to - they gather people together to have fun together and bring on the party - they work hard as heck. Just ask me about my church, I'm pretty proud of it.
I'll let you check out their new season for yourselves, but all the work aside...
These are two people. A husband and a wife, a mother and father. Serving God first with all they've got. Loving people. Doing life.
The ministry and everything large-scale aside... I love these people. I love getting to slow down, make it simple. These two are in love with each other, God and life and that's a sweet example I want to follow.
Love, Sarah
