To the girl who seeks Jesus above all else.
Who cries on the kitchen floor with me.
Who makes me laugh,
who warms my heart,
who harmonizes in life's songs.
Who drops everything to tag along to whatever I'm up to and vice versa.
Who also knows all the Barbie songs.
Who freaks out over perfect light with me.
Who I think of more as a sister than anything else.
Who refuses to let me not decorate for Christmas and who has the best taste in music.
I love you, friend, you are the most treasured, beautiful and wondrous seventeen year old I know. Keep being you, keep loving people, keep showing up, keep following Jesus. It will forever be my honor to do this walk with you.
You are beautiful.
No one ought to be compared to anyone else when I say that. You never let me do it, and I won't let you. You are made for God and no other. Uniquely you and uniquely loved, adored completely, bought, redeemed, righteous. You are made for the Faithful One. God is so mighty, so powerful, so good. And He made you, on purpose, with intention and detail and forethought. And He has the best, best plans for you. I love seeing the spark in your eye for adventure. You have been chosen and created, drawn in by the Holy Spirit, and I pray He opens your eyes (-our eyes-) to understand the Scriptures and know Him more. To make Him known. I love listening to you share Jesus and I love watching you take notes and study and I love how you humbly walk with God. To seek justice, love mercy and walk humbly with God is quite a way to live.
Maybe you're right, maybe we should move to Kentucky and get an apartment together and go to Bible school somewhere. But for now I'm glad to share my hometown with you.
Love, Sarah
P.S. It's December 1st. They say the first snow is the most magical. My Grandma's still very sick, please pray. I love her very much.
