Flaherty Family

I’ve known the Flaherty’s a very long time. I’d like to consider them my people. We’ve done life together in so many ways, as a whole and individually. They are each so important to me and I am better because of them.
But man- they are so much FUN. I thought they were fun on their own, but you get that family together in front of the camera? There like an explosion. A chain reaction of fireworks and all I can do is sit back and laugh. And you know what I’ve decided? There’s not much that’s more lovely than a family that laughs. That can have fun together. Even now that the children are all grown adults.
They work harder than anyone I know and have a strong sense of togetherness. They support each other and build each other up. I hesitate to paint a perfect picture on my blog, we’re all only human. But I must give accolade where I see worthy praise. I am truly amazed by them. Mr. and Mrs. Flaherty - through prayer and intentionality- they have raised four amazing young people that I am proud to know.
So here’s to their family and the beautiful laughter that always fills their house. Here’s to the sporadic dance parties, silliness and movie nights. Here’s to the long nights and early mornings, of seemingly endless work, when you pulled together and ACCOMPLISHED and showed with grit what you are made of. Here’s to the growing and moving on, and to the families that hold together.
